Data Center Migration in London
A data center migration is a physical project with a schedule, a source site, a destination site and a defined set of equipment in between. Reboot Monkey handles that physical work. Server migration, in our definition, is moving equipment between racks, rooms or facilities, and the same discipline applies whether the move is across a hall or across the city.
Telehouse - London (Docklands North) stands on Coriander Avenue. Equinix LD8 - London, Docklands stands on Harbour Exchange Square. Digital Realty London LON1-3 stands on Hanbury Street. Reboot Monkey does not own or operate any of these buildings. We are a third-party datacenter services operator, and our engineers work inside facilities that other companies own and run.
That position shapes how a migration is planned. The facility operator owns and runs the building, including its power, cooling and access policy, and Reboot Monkey engineers work under the operator's site rules. Your project plan is built around those rules from the start, so that the move fits the access arrangements of both the source and the destination facility.

Our Data Center Migration Services
A migration is rarely one task. It is a sequence of physical jobs, and Reboot Monkey covers each of them with defined service types so that the scope of a project is clear before work begins.
- Server migration: moving equipment between racks, rooms or facilities, including the removal of units from the source rack and their installation at the destination.
- Rack and stack: installing, mounting and cabling new hardware at the destination, whether it replaces migrated equipment or extends it.
- Connectivity: Reboot Monkey orders the cross connects and carrier circuits from the facility operator and the carriers present in the facility, and our engineers install and patch the cabling in your rack.
- Smart hands: technical work that needs diagnostic judgement and configuration knowledge, for the steps of a move that go beyond handling hardware.
- Remote hands: physical tasks carried out on your instruction, such as reboots, cable checks, component swaps and visual checks during and after the move.
- Data center decommissioning: removing and disposing of the retired hardware left behind once the destination is live.
- IT asset disposition (ITAD): data wiping, on-site shredding or degaussing, collection and transport, and resale or buyback quoted case by case, processed by Reboot Monkey staff in a partner's processing facility or on your site.
- Hardware monitoring: monitoring of your servers and network equipment by the Reboot Monkey NOC, so the migrated estate is watched once it is running in its new location.
Why Reboot Monkey
The main question in a migration is who does what on the day. Reboot Monkey can run the whole physical move or work alongside your own team, and who disconnects, reconnects and tests the equipment is agreed per project. A team that wants to keep control of configuration and testing can do so, while our engineers handle the work in the racks. A team with no capacity for the move can hand over the whole physical sequence. Continuity matters when a migration window is fixed. A second, briefed Reboot Monkey engineer is named as backup for every customer site, so the move does not depend on a single person being available on the day. Reboot Monkey sells rack space, IP transit, leased IP addresses, network and data-centre hardware together with the services that deliver, install and support them. For a migration, that means the destination capacity, the connectivity and the physical work can be arranged with one supplier. Prices are quoted on request and depend on the customer and the size of the job. To scope a London migration, send the source and destination facilities, the equipment list and the date you need the move completed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does data center migration cover in London?
Data center migration in London covers the physical move of servers and network equipment between racks, rooms or facilities. That includes rack and stack at the destination, cabling and patching in your rack, ordering cross connects and carrier circuits, and decommissioning of retired hardware. Who disconnects, reconnects and tests the equipment is agreed per project.
Do you work in every datacenter in London?
Reboot Monkey engineers work in any facility in London where the customer has equipment and access, under the operator's own access and safety rules. The customer adds the engineers to the facility's access list before the first visit.
How fast can Reboot Monkey respond in London?
Incidents and unplanned requests are handled under a 1-hour, around-the-clock incident response SLA. Reboot Monkey engineers work for the customer: they are independent from facility operators (not Equinix SmartHands, not NTT staff), follow the customer's instructions, and the same team can cover several buildings in the city under one agreement.
How do I get started with data center migration in London?
Send the site, the equipment and the task through the contact form. Reboot Monkey replies with a quote and an engineer plan for that facility. Once agreed, the customer adds the engineers to the facility's access list and the data center migration work is scheduled under the operator's rules.
